Paper Crafting Blog Hop - Time of Giving Becomes Fall Birthday

Welcome! It's time for another great blog hop! For our October Paper Crafting Blog Hop it's an anything Fall theme. This hop features a group of talented Independent Stampin’ Up! Demonstrators from around the globe. We have a wide array of fun projects and design styles to share with you featuring our theme this month, so be sure to stop at each of our blogs. You may have arrived from Maureen's blog. She had a great project!

Fall is My Favorite Time of the Year

and this card is for my favorite person! I created it for my sweet hubby's birthday coming up in just a few days. I hope he likes it. 😊

I took my color palette from this gorgeous background design in the BEAUTY OF THE EARTH Designer Series Paper collection. Then I paired it with the TIME OF GIVING stamp set & dies bundle. I needed a “Happy Birthday” sentiment, so I used the stamp from the PEACEFUL MOMENTS stamp set.

I wanted my fall leaves to have a little extra texture, so I crumpled the cardstock after I stamped them. And then I die cut the leaves with the matching die. Did you notice that the 3 leaves are all on one stamp? Did you know that the die cuts out all 3 at once? A brilliant design!

And of course, the fall colors look fabulous with the shimmer of the COPPER FOIL die cut leaves (all 5 of these detailed leaves are cut out at once with one coordinating die). I love that!

Measurements: Misty Moonlight card base A2 [A4] = 4-1/4” x 11” [10.5cm x 29.7cm]; folded @ 5-1/2” [14.85cm] --- Early Espresso 1st layer = 4” x 5-1/4” [10cm x 14.4cm] --- DSP layer = 3-3/4” x 5” [9.5cm x 13.9cm] --- Early Espresso 2” x 4-1/4” [4.8cm x 11cm] --- Basic White 1-3/4” x 4” [4.5cm x 10.5cm] --- Misty Moonlight 1-3/8” x 2” [3.5cm x 5.1cm] --- Basic White 1-1/8” x 1-3/4” [3cm x 4.6cm] --- Cinnamon Cider, Cajun Craze, Merry Merlot (for stamp and die cuts) = 2” x 2-1/4” [5.1cm x 5.7cm] --- Copper Foil approx. 1-7/8” x 3-1/4” [4.8cm x 8.3cm] (for die cuts)
