Collage Heart For My Love

Have you ever tried the collage technique? It is a lot of fun mashing up images and even different stamping bundles to make a design that has so much to look at! I made this one for my hubby and sweetheart, Bob. I hope he likes it. 

Don't you love the steam punk feel of the mixed foils heart with the die elements from the GEARS & TEXTILES bundle? I think Bob will think it's "groovy," lol. The photo doesn't quite do it justice, especially since the EARTHEN TONED METALLIC specialty paper looks almost black even though it is a very pretty brown metallic. It looks really great with the GOLD and SILVER FOIL Specialty Papers. 

And of course it needed a great inside too. What do you think?

Hearts Of Elegance Bundle and Sale-A-Bration Starstruck Emboss Folder - Crafty Challenge - Blog Hop

Welcome to our Crafty Challenge Blog Hop. It's a dice roll challenge this time! There are great projects made by demonstrators from around the globe, so be sure to "hop" all the way around to see every demonstrator's blog post, each with a fabulous project! Stripes, Hearts and Bees? Oh My! 

I love a challenge, and this dice roll certainly was if I was going to meet the challenge of all 5!  

First, I found some scrap strips of the 2024-2026 In Color DSP. I had strips in these colors: Summer Splash, Shy Shamrock and Peach Pie. And I adhered them to Basic White cardstock to create the background layer for my vertical card. 

I also die cut some hearts from the dies in the HEARTS OF ELEGANCE bundle in the same In Colors of cardstock. I needed a "for you" sentiment so I used the SO SINCERE stamp set. And I used BLENDING BRUSHES to create the look of a sponged edge around each of the hearts. To find out how I created the effect of the "lighter toned" embossed pattern, see this video with a different card but the same "sanded embossing folder" technique. The STARSTRUCK embossing folder is a Level 1 Sale-A-Bration item that you can get free with your qualifying product order. Ask me how to get it! 

Before I adhered the hearts, I added ribbon to the background layer and added a bow with glue dots for make it look like I tied the bow all the way around. This saved on the amount of ribbon used. Lastly, I added the TINY BEE TRINKETS to embellish my card project. I think I met all parts of the challenge, what do you think?
