Autumn Leaves - Stamping With Friends - Sep-Dec 2023 Mini Catalog Blog Hop

I'm excited to be participating in this Stamping With Friends Blog Hop showcasing products from the new Sep-Dec 2023 Mini Catalog! I'm sure you are just as excited as I am to see all of the different styles in this blog hop, so be sure to "hop" all the way around to see every demonstrator's blog post.

The Beauty of Autumn Will be Here Soon!

I love the fall season! I love the cooler weather and all of the colors of the leaves before they fall off and winter comes. If you like fall, the new AUTUMN LEAVES bundle (stamp set & dies) is a gorgeous set! And the other items in the ALL ABOUT AUTUMN suite of products are fabulous!!!

In this card I have used almost all of the items in the suite (all except the embossing folder because this card is loaded with details and I just couldn't seem to fit one more thing in. Lol). Scroll down to see all of the products used.

And the inside has the gorgeous large maple leaf stamp!

Here is a video from a live presentation showing how to make this card where I use the Split 3"x3" DSP Technique. Watch it on YouTube here (click "Subscribe" while you are there to see future videos).

Season of Chic - Stampin' Dreams Blog Hop -Autumn

Autumn/Fall is the theme of this month's Stampin' Dreams Blog Hop. As you hop around to all of the participants, I'm sure you will find some great inspiration from several talented Stampin' Up! demonstrators!

    Autumn is my favorite Season

I decided to use the fabulous multi-occasion SEASON OF CHIC Bundle (stamp set and coordinating dies) which is part of the TEXTURE CHIC Suite of products. This suite of products also includes the pretty TEXTURE CHIC Specialty Designer Paper (DSP) and the DISTRESSED GOLD Specialty Paper. With such beautiful products, how can you not make a gorgeous card?

Now I'm going to tell you a couple of tips to get the most of your products.

When you want to mat your DSP with another color---like this DISTRESSED GOLD Specialty Paper---and also use that paper as a layer on another element, be sure to punch out what you need from the layer before attaching your DSP on top.
This gives you optimal use of your paper.

To give your punched focal element a matching layer with the same punch:
    1. take your punched layer and cut it in half in the middle.
    2. attach the top half of your punched piece to the top of your stamped focal punch
    3. attach the bottom half of your punched piece to the bottom of your stamped focal image
Your finished image will look like the one in the close up picture shown below.

To give my card the desired fall season look, I stamped the detailed leaf images in Early Espresso ink on Very Vanilla cardstock. Then I stamped the more solid leaf image in 3 colors---Pumpkin Pie, Soft Succulent and Soft Suede (stamped off once)---on top of the detailed stamped leaf. The leaves were then die cut with the coordinating CHIC Dies.

I embellished my card with EARLY ESPRESSO FAUX SUEDE TRIM (tied in a knot rather than a bow) and the BRUSHED METALLIC DOTS.

Here's a final look at my Autumn-themed card project:
