Embossing Folders Gettin' Inky
Have you ever used ink pads with your embossing folders? It is A LOT of fun, very easy to do, and can give a big impact to your background!
I actually created two cards with this same technique, layout, stamp & die bundle (Loveliest Tree) and embossing folder (Timber 3D). Which one do you like best?
THIS - Simple Monochromatic with Early Espresso inked background?
- OR -
THAT - Stepped-up and colored tree with Crumb Cake inked background?
Can you name all of the differences between the two versions of this card?
Here's a close-up showing the subtle Pool Party blended background and the Stampin' Blends colored and die cut tree.
Watch this video for the measurements and how I made the card:
Here's one last look at the "stepped up" card I made in the video (link above):

Silver Elegance For A Silver Anniversary
Do you like clean and simple cards? Do find them simply elegant? I made this anniversary card for a very special couple who will be celebrating their 25th wedding anniversary soon.
What is more elegant than silver and white?
I punched out silver leaves out of SILVER FOIL Sheets using the PETAL PARK Builder Punch and used my fingernails to mold them to look more realistic. I also added a layer SILVER FOIL that was slightly larger than the Basic White layer and on a card base of Basic White Thick cardstock. I also punched out petals in Basic White cardstock, molding them in my hand. And the Basic Jewel Rhinestones make perfect centers!
To keep this card simple, I chose not to emboss with sentiment stamps with silver embossing powder so I stamped the words with a Basic Gray ink pad instead.
You may think that I switched my photos to be black and white, but they only look that way because my background is white and gray. 🙄 I hope my description helps you to see that my project is actually silver and white with a gray sentiment. 😀
