Frosted Forest Bundle Decorative Masks - Stamping With Friends - Blogger's Choice

It's so great to be participating in another Stamping With Friends Blog Hop. And it is Blogger's Choice this time! I'm sure you will enjoy seeing all of the projects the demonstrators in this blog hop have created, so be sure to "hop" all the way around to see every demonstrator's blog post. 😊

Stenciled Trees? Yes, Please!

I am SO in love with the FROSTED FOREST bundle (stamps, dies and decorative masks included) and the the stenciled trees!

I started out using the tall tree (I'm going to call it an oak tree, but it could be any kind of tree with a tall trunk 😉).

I used this sample for a Online Exclusives July 2024 Bundle Bonus idea file tutorial collaboration (ask me how to get the pdf) and for my Pretty Peacock Monochromatic Instagram Hop (Aug. 2nd, 2024) on my @stampwithjoy Instagram page.

Then I decided to use the same card sketch layout and color palette to stamp and use the decorative masks stencils with the "pine" tree to make a birthday card.

Can you see the different shades of color created with the stencils?

Watch this video from my Stamp With Joy Nelson YouTube channel to see exactly how I used the stencils to color the tree, and colored the birds with the ink pad and a blender pen:

Scroll down below to see all of the supplies used to make these projects. And be sure to tell me which tree card ("oak" or "pine") you like best in the comments!

Loveliest Tree Bundle & Inked Embossing Folder - Stamping With Friends - 2024 Annual Catalog Bundles

It's my privilege to be participating in the 2024 Annual Catalog Bundles Stamping With Friends Blog Hop. I'm sure you will enjoy seeing all of the projects the demonstrators in this blog hop have created, so be sure to "hop" all the way around to see every demonstrator's blog post!

    Embossing Folders Gettin' Inky

Have you ever used ink pads with your embossing folders?  It is A LOT of fun, very easy to do, and can give a big impact to your background!

I actually created two cards with this same technique, layout, stamp & die bundle (Loveliest Tree) and embossing folder (Timber 3D). Which one do you like best?

THIS - Simple Monochromatic with Early Espresso inked background?

    - OR -

THAT - Stepped-up and colored tree with Crumb Cake inked background?

Can you name all of the differences between the two versions of this card?

Here's a close-up showing the subtle Pool Party blended background and the Stampin' Blends colored and die cut tree.

Watch this video for the measurements and how I made the card:

Here's one last look at the "stepped up" card I made in the video (link above):
