Cottage Wreaths - Stampin' Dreams Blog Hop - Halloween

Are you ready for some fun Halloween themed projects? That is the theme of this month's Stampin' Dreams Blog Hop! Just hop around to all of the participants and I'm sure you will find some great inspiration from all of the talented participating Stampin' Up! demonstrators.

Have You Ever Been Boo'd?

Each year my husband and I "boo" our neighbors with fun treat-filled gift bags for Halloween. It is so much fun to treat our neighbors with small bags of chips, cookies and candy! It's our way of making them feel special and to bring a little fun to our neighbors of every age---not just the kids! This year I designed a little 3" x 3" (7.6 cm x 7.6 cm) card using the COTTAGE WREATHS Bundle and the cardstock colors of Gorgeous Grape, Highland Heather, Pumpkin Pie and Parakeet Party. I used a Blending Brush and the Parakeet Party ink pad to create a background on the Basic White cardstock. To complete the design I added some of the 2022-2024 In Color Decorative Matte Dots. Click here for a complete list of products.

Peaceful Deer - Anything But a Card Blog Hop

Oh What Fun Prancing Deer Treat Box

It's so fun sometimes to make something other than a card. I created this treat box for one of my quick and fun projects at a recent in person Stamp Party so I thought it would also be perfect to feature as my post in this "Anything But A Card" Crafty Collaborations Blog Hop. I'm sure you will find some great inspiration from the several talented Stampin' Up! demonstrators participating in this hop!

I started out with a piece of the KRAFT 6" x 6" (15.2 x 15.2 cm) PAPER. I used directions I found on an old blog post from Sam Hammond Donald's "Pootles" blog.

Here are the paper and scoring dimensions:
    Paper = 6" × 6" (15.25 x 15.25 cm)
    1. Score on one side at 1", 2-3/4", 3-3/4", 5-1/2″ (2.5, 7, 9.5, 14 cm)
    2. Turn. Score on the opposite side at 1", 4-1/2", 5-1/2″ (2.5, 11.5, 14 cm
    3. Cut out notch and cut up to bottom score line as shown.

Next is the pattern I created for this treat box:

    • To decorate the treat box I used a 3" x 6" (7.5 x 15.2 cm) piece of PAINTED CHRISTMAS Designer Series Paper to wrap around the assembled box.
    • The "Oh What Fun" deer is stamped from the PEACEFUL DEER stamp set using Soft Suede ink and then punched with the DEER BUILDER punch.
    • The LABEL ME LOVELY punch was also used (2 punch outs---one in Real Red and one in Basic White).
    • RED RHINESTONE Basic Jewels were used around the deer.
    • REAL RED MINI RUFFLED RIBBON was tied to a paper clip so the treat box can easily be opened and closed.

Paper Crafting Blog Hop - Gift Packaging - Scalloped Treat Boxes

We have a great blog hop for you this month. Our December Paper Crafting Blog Hop theme is Gift Packaging. I can't wait for you to see all of the fun projects and design styles from this group of talented Independent Stampin’ Up! Demonstrators from around the globe! Be sure to stop at each of our blogs. You may have arrived from Terri's blog. Didn't she have a great project!?

    So Sweet & Scalloped

Are you like me? Always looking for a quick and easy way to make a gift just a little bit more special? I found an answer in the SCALLOPED KRAFT TREAT BOXES by Stampin' Up!. These sweet little boxes hold much more than you think they will at 3-1/2" x 3-1/2" x 2-1/2" (8.9 x 8.9 x 6.4 cm). Watch my video below to see exactly how much I was able to fit in one of these boxes---with room to spare! And I love the pretty gold dots that accent the kraft box.

These boxes are available in the 2021-2022 Annual Catalog so you can decorate them for any occasion that you want to give a small gift or treat or gift card. For this one I used the ARTISTICALLY INKED stamp set and die bundle, the EXPRESSIONS IN INK Designer Series Paper (gold stripe) and a 3" x 3" (7.6 x 7.6 cm) card from the KRAFT 6" X 6" (15.2 x 15.2 cm) Paper Pack.
I also used RED RHINESTONE and CHAMPAGNE RHINESTONE Basic Jewels for the centers of the flowers.

To see how easy it is to put together these boxes, and how I attached my ribbon for the ARTISTICALLY INKED box and the box I originally made for the holidays, watch my video below.

For the holiday box shown in the video I used items from the GINGERBREAD & PEPPERMINT Suite of products. All products that I used from this suite---except the KRAFT 6" x 6" (15.2 cm x 15.2 cm)---is on the Last Chance list. Some of the items may no longer be available in your area. (I'm very sad as I loved this suite). Check the Last Chance list via the Stampin' Up! website. And get any remaining items before they are gone!
