Quiet Meadow - Share It Sunday Blog Hop

I am happy to be participating once again in the Crafty Collaborations Share It Sunday Blog Hop. You will be inspired by all of the different styles in this blog hop, so be sure to "hop" all the way around to see every demonstrator's blog post.

Fun & Easy Watercolor Background & Collage

Creating a watercolor background can add a beautiful and unique touch to handmade cards! I paired this easy to create background with the QUIET MEADOW stamp set and the MEADOW dies to make a collage style card.

Memento Tuxedo Black ink was used to stamp the background words and the flowers while Bermuda Bay ink was used to stamp the splatters. The white embossed lettering on Basic Black cardstock really sets off the sentiment. And the white die cut flower gives a nice coordinating contrast.

The whole look comes together to create lots of visual texture while still creating clean lines.

I have always been a fan of the collage technique but hadn't done a card in this style for quite a long time. I have to admit I really had fun putting this together!

If you're looking for a fun and creative way to make your next handmade card, I highly recommend trying out this watercolor background and the collage technique using the QUIET MEADOW stamp set and MEADOW dies. You'll be amazed at the beautiful results!

To see how easy it was to create this card, watch this step-by-step "live" video I did recently as part of a global demonstrator group. Click here to watch on YouTube and to see the measurements list for this card.

Painted Poppies - Stamping With Friends - Kissing Technique Blog Hop

I'm excited to be participating in this Stamping With Friends Blog Hop showcasing the "Kissing" Technique. I'm sure you are just as excited as I am to see all of the different styles in this blog hop, so be sure to "hop" all the way around to see every demonstrator's blog post.

    Poppy Kisses in Coral Wishes

When I was searching through my stamp stash deciding which stamp sets to use for the Kissing Technique, I found the perfect option in PAINTED POPPIES stamp set. It has a solid "smoosh" image and several detailed images that are perfect to "kiss" together!
Just in case you've never done the Kissing Technique, here's a little description of what I've done.
    Kissing Technique:
Ink a solid image in a light color (Pale Papaya) and ink a detailed image in a darker color (Poppy Parade). Then "kiss" the inked detailed image onto the inked solid image. This creates a patterned image ready to stamp. Now take your "kissed" solid image and stamp onto your cardstock (Basic White). Note: You may need to breathe on the "kissed" stamp to re-moisten the ink before stamping.

As you can see, I added some of the PRETTY PRINTS Designer Series Paper (DSP) in the Calypso Coral color, some Pale Papaya Open Weave Ribbon and the Classic Matte Dots in Very Vanilla to complete my card.
