A Die That Creates A Fun Fold---FABULOUS!
Don't you just love it when there is a die that makes things easy? I DO!
The BEAUTIFUL BUTTERFLIES dies have a large butterfly die that sits on the fold of your card base and cuts out a big butterfly shape. How awesome is that?
For my project, I took it to another level by using the debossed side of the SUNFLOWER 3D Embossing Folder on the butterfly die cut. Then sponge daubers and ink (Daffodil Delight, Pecan Pie and Old Olive) were used to color in the sunflower images. Lastly, I ran a Melon Mambo ink pad over the whole embossed image in a direct-to-paper technique to color the background of the butterfly and make the die cut butterfly really "pop" off the card front!
You may also have noticed that the area behind the butterfly is also embossed. For the back half of the card, the BIRCH WOOD 3D Embossing Folder was used.
I also added an additional small die cut butterfly in the Bubble Bath color, and the "hello" sentiment from the BEAUTIFUL BUTTERFLIES Bundle.

It's So Much Fun...
using the Decorative Masks stencils that are part of the LINKED TOGETHER Bundle because there are SO MANY COMBINATIONS! Here I've just shown one combination, but be sure to watch my video via this link to see more combinations with this 5 stencil set.
For this card background, I've only used the #1 with the #5 Decorative Masks (stencils).
But, I did a monochromatic (Crumb Cake color) version
And a Pale Vintage / Shabby Chic look version (Petal Pink and Crumb Cake colors).
Do you want to see how I created this fun stenciled background AND see samples of many other stencil combinations? Be sure to watch my video via my Stamp With Joy YouTube channel:
