A Thankful Time Of Giving Fall Card

Copper is Stunning with Fall Colors

Wow! The COPPER FOIL Specialty Paper looks stunning with the fall leaves in this card from the TIME OF GIVING Bundle. And paired with the IN GOOD TASTE Designer Series Paper and the CORK Specialty Paper it makes a fabulous card perfect for Thanksgiving or a Thank You to give to someone special.

But I can't take all the credit because I used 2 great cards from 2 fabulous Stampin' Up! demonstrators as my inspiration for this card. This is a blog collaboration between me, Katie Johnson and Laurie LaRose.

Here are the cards from Katie and Laurie:

I really liked the fall colors, copper leaves and pretty IN GOOD TASTE Designer Series Paper Katie used to make her card. Click the picture to go to Katie's post.

And I liked the focal point layout Laurie used to make her card. Click the picture to go to Laurie's post.

The leaves stamp in the TIME OF GIVING stamp set are all on one stamp and can be cut out all at once with one matching die using the GIVING GIFTS dies. (They can be ordered as a bundle for 10% savings). Becasue they are connected, it makes it super easy to cut out several leaves to layer on this card (3 colors shown are: Crushed Curry, Pumpkin Pie and Soft Suede). There is another coordinating single die that cuts out 5 leaves with detailed veins all at once (shown in COPPER FOIL). Such a time saver! All supplies will be listed at the end of this post.

If you look closely you can see that some of the leaves are popped up on dimensionals, and some are not, to give good depth to the focal point.

I used the pumpkins die from the GIVING GIFTS die set both on the front and on the inside of this card for some extra detail. The COPPER FOIL specialty paper gives the pumpkins a fun metallic shine. I cut off the frame around the pumpkins on the front and used parts of the frame in opposite corners for the inside layer. (Cut the paper to match the size of the die to get a thin frame).

And thanks for pointing out how the dies work. I didn't realize they were connected.

    2. This is so beautiful! The copper is stunning!
Kind of neat that I used the idea of DSP from one of your cards, and you used DSP from one of Katie's cards. And that we all converted to the idea of Leaves from flowers!
