Paper Crafting Blog Hop - Willow Tree Encouragement Card

We have a great blog hop for you this month. Our July Paper Crafting Blog Hop theme is encouragement. You will see many great projects and design styles from this group of talented Independent Stampin’ Up! Demonstrators from around the globe. Be sure to stop at each of our blogs to see each one! You may have arrived from Julia Q's blog. How much did you love her project?

Stay strong, my friend

I think we all need encouragement and getting a handmade card in the mail with encouraging words is even better! I love the "Stay strong, my friend" sentiment from the THROUGH IT TOGETHER stamp set (this set has many great sentiments you can use for any occasion).

I also love the elegance and whimsy of the Blushing Bride card base with the Gold Foil and the Brushed Brass Butterflies.

To give this card lots of texture and dimension, I used the Brushstroke 12x12 Specialty Paper in the Blushing Bride color and attached it to a Foam Adhesive Sheet before I used the WILLOW dies to cut out the leaf-filled branches for my tree. (enlarge the picture shown to see more detail).

I also die cut the tree trunk and branches and then ran it through the TIMBER 3D embossing folder. (If you try this and your tree trunk has pieces separate after "embossing," don't fret, just glue those pieces down next to each other onto your card).

For the complete supplies used please see the supply list shown after the blog hop links.

I really hope you have enjoyed my project. Post comments, or questions, in the comments section below. I love seeing your posts!
