Hey Guys, These Thoughts Were Inspired For You!

Paper Crafting Blog Hop

Welcome to the May Paper Crafting Blog Hop featuring Thinking of You themed cards that are suitable for the men in your life. This hop features a group of talented Independent Stampin’ Up! Demonstrators from all over the globe. There are demonstrators from the USA, United Kingdom and Australia participating. We have a wide array of fun projects and design styles to share with you for our theme this month so be sure to stop at each of our blogs. You may have arrived from Krissi's blog. A great project!

Who Doesn't Love Trees?

When I design cards that can be used for men, I often make them gender neutral like this card for our May blog hop. By using greens (Evening Evergreen, Soft Succulent) and blues (Balmy Blue) with a touch of pale yellow (So Saffron) it makes a perfect card for anyone. It is a great idea to have some cards in your stash that you would be happy giving to a guy or even a couple. (The ladies might like this one too)!

This slimline card is the full width of the cardstock we get here in the U.S. (8-1/2") , cut to 7" and then folded in half at 3-1/2". It will easily fit into a #9 business envelope, or you can make your own (Designer Series Paper is great for this).

Wonder how I got the look of bark on the trees?

I used the Stacked Stone background stamp. I just turned the stamp so that it was stamping where the stone looked vertical.

And of course, don't forget the inside!

I didn't stamp a sentiment on the inside to leave a good amount of space to write a personal note.

Here's the list of additional items I used to make my slimline card:

* Blending Brushes * Evening Evergreen Open Weave Ribbon * Basic Gray Classic Stampin' Pad * So Saffron Classic Stampin' Pad * Evening Evergreen Classic Stampin' Pad * Take Your PIck Tool and Take Your Pick Die Brush Tip * Stampin' Cut & Emboss * Adhesive Sheets * Mini Stampin' Dimensionals * Stampin' Dimensionals * Multipurpose Liquid Glue * Paper Trimmer

Paper Crafting Blog Hop - Pretty Perennial Petals

Welcome to the April Paper Crafting Blog Hop featuring talented Independent Stampin’ Up! Demonstrators. A group of fellow demonstrators from all over the globe including the USA, United Kingdom and Australia are participating. We have a wide array of fun projects and design styles to share with you for our Thinking of You for girls theme this month so be sure to stop at each of our blogs. You may have arrived from Sandra's blog. I love her project!

Pink and Yellow and Orange, OH MY!

I chose the PRETTY PERENNIALS stamp set and PERENNIAL PETALS dies for my take on this month's "Thinking of You" theme for girls.

I just love the cut-out and thin details dies in the PRETTY PERENNIALS Bundle! [January-June Mini Catalog]

And it looks striking with the TRUE LOVE Designer Series Paper (DSP). [January-June Mini Catalog]

The bright colors of DAFFODIL DELIGHT, PUMPKIN PIE, MELON MAMBO and GRANNY APPLE GREEN paired with black and white just pop! Then tie a pretty DAFFODIL DELIGHT 1/4" RUCHED RIBBON (retiring May 3rd, 2021) and add some PEARL BASIC JEWELS for a card that a girl of any age would be thrilled to get in the mail.

Thanks for hopping with us this month! Now click on the Next image to zoom to Terri's blog and see another fun project.
