Do You Sketch Before You Make A Card?
I don't generally sketch out my cards before I start creating, but I do love a challenge from sketches others have created! How well do you think I did? Can you spot any changes or additions in my interpretation?
Because I used a Basic White Thick cardstock for my card base, I thought it needed a little texture in the background. I chose the FOREVER PLAID 3D embossing folder. Do you like a textured background? I also chose the MODERN CHRISTMAS Specialty DSP with it's touches of gold and the coordinating ORNAMENTAL CHRISTMAS Bundle paired with Gold Foil, Old Olive and Cherry Cobbler. Welcome to our Stamping With Friends Blog Hop! Are as excited as I am to see all of the bridge fold card projects? Be sure to "hop" all the way around to see every demonstrator's blog post! 😊
Building A Bridge Has Never Been Easier!
It's been a few years since I've made a bridge fold card and I had forgotten how easy and fun they are to make.
And I especially liked using the LIGHTS & WONDER Bundle, the LIGHTS OF AURORA DSP, and the FROSTED IRIDESCENT DOTS from the LIGHTS OF AURORA Suite. They are so pretty used together and with the Blackberry Bliss cardstock card base. (I also used the same color for the mat layer behind the "Embrace The" sentiment, but it picked up the blue tone in the DSP in the photo).
And did you know that when you fold down one side of the card base it will fit into a regular A2 size envelope? (You can easily adjust the measurements for metric A4 size cardstock and envelopes too).
How do I sign a card like this you may ask? By adding a white layer to the back of your card, you have plenty of room to write a short personalized note and sign it.
I also made a version with Misty Moonlight cardstock, the PEACEFUL GARDEN DSP, and the white flowers from the HUES OF BLUE FLOWERS embellishments.
Which color do you like best?
The card base measurements is:
4-1/4" x 8" and scored at 1-1/4", 2-1/2", 5-1/2", 6-3/4"
I hope you have enjoyed my project. Please scroll down to see all of the supplies used.
